Jim Popp, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The most important element of any business relationship is the people on both sides of the relationship.

James R. Popp is president and CEO of Johnson Financial Group, a diversified financial services company comprised of Johnson Bank and Johnson Wealth. Jim joined the company in 2017 as President of Johnson Bank and became President and CEO of the holding company in January of 2018.

Experience & Education

Prior to joining Johnson Financial Group, Jim served for nearly 30 years at JP Morgan Chase & Co. as Market President, where he led teams throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas.
Jim received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University and his master’s degree in finance from DePaul University.

Community Involvement

Jim serves on the boards of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC); Greater Milwaukee Committee (GMC); Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW); Marcus Performing Arts Center.
