1 This account requires the use of eStatements. A monthly fee of $2.00 will be charged to your account if you elect to receive paper statements. If your account balance is $0.00, the account will be closed after 35 consecutive calendar days.
2 Opening an account with an amount less than the Minimum Daily Ledger Balance will result in the account being assessed a Monthly Cycle Maintenance Fee for the initial monthly cycle, unless another balance qualification disclosed is met or a monthly direct deposit is established.
3 Defined as the lowest daily combined Ledger Balance of this Account and all “Related Accounts” that have been designated by you and linked by the Bank for this purpose.
Related Accounts include designated consumer savings, money market, certificate of deposit accounts, and current outstanding principal consumer and mortgage loan balances. Classic Lines of Credit and certain deposit account balances for retirement or tax-deferred accounts are excluded. Related Accounts may not be linked with more than one account for purposes of Combined Related Aggregate Ledger Balances.
4 Young Adults under the age of 25 are eligible for a free Essential Checking account if a parent or guardian maintains a Johnson Bank interest bearing checking (demand deposit) account.
5 Credit products are subject to bank underwriting guidelines and credit approval. Certain conditions, terms, and restrictions may apply based on the program selected.

A checking account is a deposit account that allows you to make deposits and withdrawals. Most checking accounts are primarily for accessing money for daily use with checks or a debit card. Savings accounts are intended for depositing funds to save money and earn interest.
For an individually owned checking account, you must be 18 years or older. If you are a parent or guardian and would like to open a joint checking account with your child who is younger than 18, please contact a Relationship Banker or call us at 888.769.3796.

For most personal accounts, you will need a valid form of identification and personal information such as date of birth, social security number and address. Most companies ask for your account number, routing number, and will need to know if your account is a checking or savings account to set up your direct deposit. Some companies require a direct deposit form, or a voided copy of a check. Please call 888.769.3796 for assistance with obtaining the direct deposit form.
In most cases, direct deposits are posted to the account on the date your employer indicated when sending the deposit.
