Sara Whitley Honored at WMBA Best in Business Awards

Sara Whitley, AVP Senior Community Mortgage Loan Officer in Madison, was recently honored at the Wisconsin Mortgage Banker Association's (WMBA) 2025 Best In Business Awards. Sara was nominated for the Community Impact Award and emerged as the winner, beating out a competitive field of 10 other nominees! She provided over $1M in grants and down payment assistance! Her dedication to the community and her outstanding contributions to the mortgage industry were recognized and celebrated by all in attendance.

Sara is active in many organizations; currently she is a board member of the Realtor’s Association of South-Central Wisconsin (RASCW) along with serving as President of the RASCW Housing Foundation, a non-profit that provides down payment assistance throughout South Central Wisconsin. She is also on the Advisory Team/Ambassador/DPA Co-Chair for OWN IT Building Black Wealth, which focuses on initiatives to educate and grow generational wealth in Black & Brown communities throughout Dane County.

Lastly, she is part of the Waunakee Rotary and serves on the Village of Waunakee Finance Committee. Joining the rotary enabled Sara to become more involved in the community she lives in and teaching the importance of volunteering to her daughters Ophelia (19) and Cordelia (9).
